A complete, matching three-volume set of Pickering's well-regarded "Aldine Edition" printing of Coleridge's collected poetry and drama, gathering The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Christabel, and the bulk of his lyric and dramatic verse in the elegant small-format collected edition for which the Pickering Aldine Poets series was noted. Handsomely bound to style throughout in full calf with marbled edges and endpapers, this set has the attractive, uniform presentation that makes the Aldine Poets a perennial favourite for display, while remaining a genuinely readable text of one of the essential Romantic poets.

Boards square, gilt tooling to the borders and spines bright and crisp throughout, marbling attractive to edges and endpapers; occasional light foxing to the preliminary leaves, text otherwise clean. Volume III with a chip and loss to the leather at the head of the spine as illustrated, exposing the spine strip beneath; Volumes I and II with lesser wear and minor lifting at the head of the spine. A very good, complete set overall, the noted spine damage confined to volume II & III.
